Riva, the renowned Italian yacht builder, has partnered with the Ferretti Group to launch the Riva El-Iseo – the world’s first full-electric powerboat. This new launch has penned the new era of sustainable luxury in Riva’s history and unveiled its E-Luxury segment. The uniqueness of El-Iseo is that on one hand, it taps into the heritage, and, on the other hand, it showcases cutting-edge innovation.
Riva El-Iseo is crafted under the visionary guidance of Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta – the founders of Officina Italiana Design. Piero Ferrari led the Strategic Product Committee and Ferretti Group Engineering Department which partnered with Riva to design an eco-friendly yacht.
Bringing Together Sustainable Luxury and Timeless Style
The 27-foot (8.40 m) El-Iseo is sleek and presents a beautiful blend of traditional Riva aesthetics with modern, eco-friendly technology. It sports a polished mahogany deck, stainless steel detailing, and refined sky fabric cushions that are testimony to Riva’s signature sophistication.
The California Sky Blue hull colour and an aquamarine beauty line add a contemporary touch to this one-of-its-kind electric yacht.
Focusing on Safety, Performance, and Versatility
The El-Iseo has achieved RINA Category B certification – setting a new standard in the yacht industry. It shows that this electric powerboat is seaworthy and complies with rigorous safety standards.
Powered by a Parker GVM310 full-electric engine and equipped with a high-energy-density lithium battery pack from Podium Advanced Technologies, the El-Iseo delivers unparalleled speed and efficiency.
With cruising modes named after classical music terms – Adagio, Andante, and Allegro – the El-Iseo caters to various preferences. Peter Wilson, co-founder of Marine Construction Management (MCM) and the owner’s representative for the El-Iseo project, underscores the focus on safety and innovation, “Our focus was on ensuring on-board safety and implementing measures to mitigate risks.”
A Big Step in Electric Yachting
The El-Iseo was showcased at the Monaco Yacht Club in 2022 as the first model in Riva’s E-Luxury segment – a significant milestone in the Ferretti Group’s sustainability journey. It has undergone rigorous testing, including participation in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, and has successfully reaffirmed its status as a trailblazer in electric luxury boating.
