Gulf Craft is excited to share that the first sea trial of the sixth Majesty 140 superyacht has gone well, making it the seventh superyacht from the shipyard to be launched in 2024. This trial is special because it introduces the first semi-displacement hull in the Majesty 140 series, which improves the yacht’s speed and fuel efficiency.
Semi-Displacement Hull Design Enhances Performance
During the test run, the Majesty 140 showed excellent stability and a quiet engine, reaching a fast top speed of 20 knots. Mohamed Hussein Alshaali, the head of Gulf Craft, who oversaw the test, felt very proud: “This is the first boat in our Majesty 140 series with a semi-displacement hull. Changing all our big boats to have these hulls was a smart decision that worked well, giving us smooth sailing and better energy use. I’m proud to see how well this beautiful boat performed today.”
