Project Titanium – 100m
In March 2021, Imperial signed Winch Design’s 100m Titanium – teasing a new entrant into the prestigious Top100.
The 100m superyacht will be built by Admiral Yachts, and finds the perfect balance between high-end quality standards and high-tech solutions. Her diesel-electric propulsion system is pays attention to eco-sustainability, while so far we have only been given a glimpse of the impressive exterior design. Jim Dixon, Director of Yachts & Aviation at Winch Design, commented: “Project Titanium is incredibly dynamic and will be a landmark for the industry. We look forward to working closely with all those involved and can’t wait to see her develop!”
Project Cosmos – 80m
At 80.07m, 1,700GT and with a top speed of 29 knots, Heesen’s Project Cosmos will be the world’s largest and fastest full-aluminium motoryacht with conventional propeller propulsion system.
Winch has been the studio responsible for Cosmos’ eye-catching streamlined exterior profile. With muscular sportiness and timeless elegance, Cosmos is already an instantly recognisable design and one which promises plenty of thrills for her 12 guests, from a 7m infinity pool to an outdoor cinema.
Project Black Shark – 77m
One of the most publicised superyacht project from keel laying to upcoming delivery, Project Black Shark is taking shape at German yacht builder Nobiskrug.
Winch Design was selected as the exterior designer of Black Shark, a 5-deck superyacht which promises huge volume for her owners. The striking exterior profile ensures that this project will turn heads when she is released onto the water, with a grand beach club and spa available to provide unforgettable experiences for guests on board.
Amels 242 06 & 07 – 74m
Nearing their completion at Amels are the sixth and seventh hull of the highly-sought-after 74m Amels 242, both featuring interior design by Winch. The Amels 242 benefits from an incredible volume which allows for a dedicate Owners Deck as well as magnificent social spaces and lobbies which have been given the masterful Winch touch. The British studio has been a longstanding collaborator with the renowned Dutch shipyard, and it is no surprise that the Amels 242 has proven so popular on the market with such a pairing.
Project 795 – 70m
Project 795 is another exciting Winch design that is progressing well with Nobiskrug. Following the keel laying ceremony in 2019, she moved into the outfitting dock in October 2020 and is maintaining momentum ahead of her launch. Winch Design has penned both the exterior and interior design of the 70m superyacht, and we can expect to see trademark lines and finishes when more is revealed.
Project Sparta – 67m
67m Project Sparta is on track at Dutch shipyard Heesen after the turning of the hull earlier this month. This fast and sporty design will be another statement of Winch sophistication on the waters, personalised to the lifestyle preferences of her Owner. “Once again we are delighted to have a very collaborative and decisive client with a clear lifestyle brief,” said Jim Dixon following the keel laying ceremony in October 2020. “The arrangement of the vessel seamlessly connects the activity of water-side living at the aft ‘terrace’ with the calm and beautifully-coloured interior.” Sparta’s four guest suites are locate forward on the main deck, while the Owner will enjoy privacy on the dedicated bridge deck, with outdoor fining and lounging areas.
Amels 200 03 – 60m
Also under construction at Amels is the latest 60m Limited Editions Amels 200, another collaboration between Amels, Winch and exterior designer Tim Heywood. The third Amels 200 has a delivery scheduled for 2024, and the client selected Winch Design for the superyacht’s interiors. “It is a rare but special privilege to have worked on so many projects over the years with such an esteemed yard,” says Winch Design’s Jim Dixon, “And we look forward to bringing our collective experience together again for this latest 60-metre yacht.”
At the last Monaco Yacht Show, Winch cleaned up with 3 awards and we can certainly expect the design icon to be up there again come September. Winch also has 27m S/Y Blue Water under construction with German shipyard YYachts, a unique project which demonstrates Winch Design’s versatility and capability to be just as creative in the smaller categories – as their team explain in this interview at MYS 2019.
